Old parlour, new parlour; the ATL
abreast feeding system is totally accomodating
With its unique modular design, the ATL
abreast feeder will fit just about any parlour, even old
'shovel' based layouts - with the minimum of fuss and upheaval.
Feed bin, electric feeder and the dual
manger are all available separately, so quite often existing
equipment can be re-used. For example, it is common for
older mangers to corrode to the point where they become
unusable, but the bins remain in good condition. Changing
to the ATL abreast feeding system only requires installing
the manger and feeder modules which can easily
be adapted to fit the existing bins using the variable infil
panels.
Panels of differing widths and wide
flanges on the bins and manger ends, mean that the ATL abreast
feeder can be fitted between existing stanchions and frameworks with ease.
The 12volt DC electric auger feeder is
based upon ATL's proven herringbone design which has become
the dairy industry standard. Driven by the ATL Digital Feeder
Control, feed is directed to the appropriate manger
by the concelaed flap valve at the front of the unit. Two
versions of the valve are available; manual, in which the
valve is operated by a lever, and the automatic option in
which it is 'switched' by the Digital Feeder Control.
