Configurations
The Pegasus Sorting Gate systems' unique design allows the user to set flags against a cow weeks in advance of the sorting date. For example, whilst milking the user could notice a cow which needs foot trimming; the 'Slow' flag could be used to signify this and a month down the line the 'Slow' flag could be sorted on and all the cows needing feet trimming will be sorted automatically.
The double gate option, requires only one antenna interface, gate system power supply and MicroMarque3S control, but will require a double air control module to service the second gate. The gates must be positioned close to the antenna using the single gate positioning guidelines. If a sorting position is required further along the route, it will require a second sorting gate system.
Double systems have 2 sort exits each operated by a different flag. The flags are set on the Interface switches with gate 1 having priority. So, if the sorting flags are selected as 'VET' and 'AI' with the 'VET' flag being sorted through gate 1; a cow with both flags set will be sorted through gate 1 because the 'VET' flag has priority.
Single systems sorting left or right will operate with either of 2 flags set; for example, cows with either 'VET' or 'AI' set will be sorted into a common holding area providing those flags are selected on the antenna interface. Cows may have both selected flags set.
